If you have a question that is not answered here, please contact us and we will be happy to supply the answer.
How long will my appointment be?
An initial assessment will be for 45 minutes but we ask you to allow an hour. The time needed for follow up appointments will be discussed with you.
Will I need to take my shoes off?
We ask you to wear appropriate clothing for your appointment. We will need to see the body part affected so ease of access will be needed.
Do I need a chaperone?
You can bring a relative or friend with you if you prefer.
Will I need to bring any information with me?
Any information about your condition is helpful to us. If you have been seen by another medical professional we would like to see their reports.
Will I need to supply any information before my appointment?
At your initial appointment you will be asked to fill in a brief questionnaire and consent form. This is so we have a record that you allowed us to treat you and also have a brief summary of your complaint/problem.
Will I have to make payment at my appointment?
Depending on what you need from your orthotics assessment you will be asked to leave a 50% deposit (to be paid in full at your fitting).
Will I get my orthosis on the day of my initial appointment?
In some cases you may be supplied with an orthosis (usually insoles) on the day of your initial appointment which will need to be paid for. However, most of the time an orthosis will need to be manufactured to suit your needs an will therefore need to be ordered.
What happens if I cancel my appointment?
We understand that life gets in the way sometimes so if you let us know we will endeavour to re-arrange your appointment at a more suitable time.
What happens if I don’t attend my appointment?
If you don’t attend your appointment we will contact you to try and re-arrange. If you don’t attend a second appointment we may charge a fee to cover the time lost.
